Our mission is to engage patients and physicians to work together to improve outcomes. We do this by connecting treating physicians facing challenging cases with Best Doctors Experts who can answer their questions and support their patient care. We also offer thought-leading newsletters, webinars, podcasts and blog articles on clinical decision support, diagnostic accuracy and how truly collaborative medicine can empower patients and promote dialogue between physicians.
How Does Best Doctors Work?
Best Doctors consultation services are offered as a benefit to employees at large organizations, as well as provided through some health plans as a policyholder benefit. Hear how it works from an elected Best Doctors Expert and members of our internal medical staff in the video below:
Our consultation process works like this:
- A qualifying treating physician or patient who is facing a challenging clinical case contacts Best Doctors
- Our team collects all relevant case information and create a clinical summary, and an in-house team of physicians review the medical records and draft key questions pertaining to the case
- An elected Best Doctors Expert reviews the records and writes a well-researched opinion report, complete with citations of the latest studies and literature
- The treating physician and patient use this Best Doctors Report as a tool in their care plan
If you are an elected Best Doctors Expert who would like to consult on cases, or if you are a treating physician who would like to inquire about Best Doctors' services for your patients, email us at email@example.com.
