Best Doctors experts are at the core of our high-value services. We draw from the expertise of 46,000 expert physicians across over 400 subspecialties of medicine—representing the top 5% of physicians in the country.

For 20 years we have conducted the largest, continuous, peer-to-peer survey of the medical profession to build our professional roster of the best minds in medicine. And our research team reviews all candidates for current licensure and board certification and are monitored for any regulatory or malpractice incidents. Only 5% of the doctors in any country are actually selected to become Best Doctors.

Physician experts who participate in Best Doctors InterConsultation service are continuously and systematically evaluated on the quality of their reports by the Best Doctors clinical leadership team. An expert’s historical “scores” on InterConsultation cases help determine how often we will use that expert for future cases.
